Gull Rock

Return to Gallery

I visited Port William on a grey day whilst in North Cornwall. This rock was seen through a haze of moisture in the air, not quite mist, not quite rain. It created a mystical sense to the view that enhanced the romance of the Arthurian associations of the area. I wanted to try to capture some hint of that strange haze. A friend recognised the view and said that she thought it is known as Gull Rock. I would welcome confirmation, or correction, of the name. I think of it as Avalon.
